Pandora Radio

03.14.08 | San Diego, CA -

You can come out as a lover or a hater; it makes no difference to me. I love Pandora (pun intented) internet radio from the Music Genome Project.
Internet multi-media trends tend to get played on the regular...that is to say users hammer them hot and heavy from the beta release and then turn into haters as the product gains a foothold or gets surpassed by the new upstart media.
Personally, Pandora hooks it up when iTunes is old, talk radio is struggling and you are moments away from laying down a biz markee beat as the only option.
My respect is there for a multimedia product that you turn to as a last option and when all is said and done you are leveraging it as a go to entertainment or background music player.
I hooked up with Pandora randomly when I bought my new laptop. It came bundled with some of the usual suspects in the hp family; as I peeled off the unnecessary hp layers Pandora remained as something to explore. I jumped in as I began to load software on the new machine, starting a single station dedicated to Redman..now I am 10 stations deep...from SRV to Built top Spill. For any mood, I am set up..and that is powerful...to be versatile enough to keep the user captive. Finally, Pandora will work with your ratings of certain song selections to expand the catalog, more than likely exposing you to a band or a single you may not have heard of.
