YAR!

One year removed and on the opposite side of the result.

Man Utd were so thoroughly outplayed on Wednesday that I haven't summoned the energy to write this post because of my disappointment. A match that started out brilliantly for the first 10 minutes and dissolved into an exercise in defeat for the remaining 80.

I realize that you can't win everything, but you can try and show up. To reach the Champions League Final and get run off the pitch tarnishes an otherwise brilliant season where Man Utd retained the Premier League Title. But for all intents and purposes, had Man Utd shown up at all on Wednesday, we should've, could've, would've THROTTLED Barca.

Fair play, they battered us with pin point passing and attacking at select times with deadly results.

Cheers Barca, you won.

Meanwhile, Man Utd drew level in league titles with L'Pool...so GLORY GLORY!

Man Utd Secures Double

Congratulations are due to the players, staff, and supporters of Manchester United after completing an amazing and dramatic Double Title Run. Manchester United secured the double after completing a manic performance against fellow English squad Chelsea F.C. (London) in the European Champions League Final. The European victory followed #1 position in the English Premiership.

Manchester United has know glory throughout its history, but the European Championship is the crown jewel, and the Reds had not secure European glory since 1999, when the infamously dispatched Bayern Munich in the final on their way to the Treble.

As a footnote to this accomplishment not to be missed, congratulations to Ryan Giggs for surpassing Sir Bobby Charlton's club appearance record. Fitting moment for a cornerstone of the recent success Manchester United has accrued.

Congrats to the Reds on a hard fought, well deserved Double! Stand Oooop for the Champions!

What could have been

For all of his gifts as an athlete, I still couldn't handle A-Rod on the Sox. I can't even handle this picture. Stack your regular season statistics, I'll keep the post-season RBIs from Lowell. Hindsight is 20/20!

Pandora Radio

03.14.08 | San Diego, CA -

You can come out as a lover or a hater; it makes no difference to me. I love Pandora (pun intented) internet radio from the Music Genome Project.
Internet multi-media trends tend to get played on the regular...that is to say users hammer them hot and heavy from the beta release and then turn into haters as the product gains a foothold or gets surpassed by the new upstart media.
Personally, Pandora hooks it up when iTunes is old, talk radio is struggling and you are moments away from laying down a biz markee beat as the only option.
My respect is there for a multimedia product that you turn to as a last option and when all is said and done you are leveraging it as a go to entertainment or background music player.
I hooked up with Pandora randomly when I bought my new laptop. It came bundled with some of the usual suspects in the hp family; as I peeled off the unnecessary hp layers Pandora remained as something to explore. I jumped in as I began to load software on the new machine, starting a single station dedicated to Redman..now I am 10 stations deep...from SRV to Built top Spill. For any mood, I am set up..and that is powerful...to be versatile enough to keep the user captive. Finally, Pandora will work with your ratings of certain song selections to expand the catalog, more than likely exposing you to a band or a single you may not have heard of.

Truth and Consequences

Update as the C's continue to "falter" dropping some soft losses after a fantastic start to the season - first team in franchise history to notch 30 wins at this point of the season.
I feel the recent losses - particularly the loss to Charlotte at home - will help in the long run as the point guard play develops a consistent approach..and maybe even a veteran addition to help Rondo. Elsewhere the bench needs to make sure they step up their play to match the effort put out by the starters from jump.
The Celtics have proven their ability to get up for the big games, now they need to work on putting the inferior teams down - down quick - to ensure the big 3 can get their necessary rest for the remainder of the year.

Holiday Shouts

Sending everyone a Holiday Shout and I hope your New Year comes in shining. I must admit that 2007 was the fastest year yet, and - though it too may be fast - I hope 2008 proves to be solid for on and all.

Peace.
